They called it a royal wedding though we don't have a monarchy. The bride wore a crown in keeping with the hype.
There was a P2 million gown and a P7 million cake.
Of course you can't buy class but let them critics eat cake. There's more than enough, anyway.
It's funny how a lot of people decried the expense, saying it's against the law to display such wealth.
And I say it's anyone's basic human right to wed as they please, garbed in class or crass.

One of my staff's getting married. She was supposed to tie the knot last year, but relatives and convention got in the way. The relatives wanted a lot of things, and then someone in the family got pregnant.
And then there's the issue of cost. No P2 million bridal gown here. They're still young, both busy making a niche for themselves at the workplace.
And then everyone wants to invite everyone, driving up the cost.
"Magtanan na lang kayo tapos magpakain na lang kayo ng mga kamag-anak," I said. (Just elope and invite everyone to dinner).
After months of planning and guestimating costs, of steps forward and then backward, they decided it's the way to go.
