I moved to my own place in late July.
By early August, my world went haywire and I was lost.
The new place was still screaming for a dining table, chairs, a sofa, and a bed. The bed came first. I bought it from a small place along Visayas Avenue. Quite unprofessional, the people there.
The Philippines is made up of men and women in the service industry who have yet to get the memo that men and women live on their own now (as they have the past two decades or so), and work during most of the day (or night). So they expect to be able to deliver their products when they want to. That unhinged me a lot for weeks.
Then the woman who has been cutting my hair for years moved to the US. Then the nail person aka manicurist got pregnant and won't be able to work. Then the grocery near me does not sell a lot of vegetables. Then I don't know how to get to the expressway. (Huwag humirit, tatagpasin ko ang leeg ng hihirit pa roon!)
To top it all off, I didn't like how things were going on at work, I decided to summon all my leave credits and it turns out I have four months.
I am on leave right now, working on the bio of a person I like.
I wonder how things will turn out. I hope blessed, and fun, and the best.
The house is turning out to be something that settles my nerves. I try to do something to make it so every day.
